Ye Chenchen (Research Assistant at NUS-NExT++ Research Center)

I'm currently a research assistant at the National University of Singapore (NUS), NExT++ Research Center. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Multimedia Information Retrieval from NUS in June 2022, and I was advised by Prof. Chua Tat Seng and worked closly with Prof. Liao Lizi.

My primary research interests are Information Retrieval and Knowledge Reasoning over multimodal data (text, image, graph data, etc). I have worked on their applications such as conversational search and knowledge reasoning over knowledge graphs. Specifically, I aim at developing models that can reason over heterogeneous knowledge, coordinate the structured and unstructured, and generate appropriate interpretations, predictions, and responses with human knowledge.

• 17 May 2023: One co-first-authored paper is accepted to SIGKDD 2023 about temporal event knowledge graph.

• 15 Aug 2022: I start working as a research assistant at NUS NExT lab.

• 30 Jun 2022: I am graduated from NUS with the degree of Bachelor of Computing (Computer Science) with Honours (Highest Distinction) !

• 30 Jun 2022: One full paper first-authored by me is accepted to ACMMM 2022 about multimodal retrieval and response generation.

• 7 Jun 2022: I have been awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Prize (Individual) by NUS, check out the certificate and NUS News.

• 7 Jun 2022: I have been placed on the Dean's List of NUS School of Computing, check out the certificate.

• 1 Apr 2022: One full paper (oral) first-authored by me is accepted to SIGIR 2022 about conversational search.
